3 Day Refresh Reformulation

If you’re one of the million-plus people who have experienced the cleansing awesomeness of 3 Day Refresh, you know it’s a perfect way to clean up your nutritional act from time to time.

The specially formulated shakes, fiber drink, and whole foods eating plan are a great way to realign your eating, help break bad habits, and even lose a few pounds – without resorting to juice fasts or other deprivation-based tomfoolery.

You’re probably wondering how and why the heck we decided to make 3 Day Refresh better.

Basically, it’s because Beachbody’s R&D team never ever rests on its laurels. Just because we’ve created a successful product doesn’t mean that we file away the secret formula and move on to the next big thing.

We keep our eye on the ball for all kinds of reasons. Government guidelines change. Sourcing resources change. Science changes.

And we’re constantly receiving thought-provoking feedback from our customers. With this in mind, we’re continually figuring out how to make our formulations better.

After a long, hard look at 3 Day Refresh, we determined it was time for a tune-up, specifically when it came to two of the supplements you’ll find within, Vanilla Fresh and Fiber Sweep.

What’s New With Vanilla Fresh?

First, we’ve added flaxseed, which has increased the levels of ALA (alpha-linolenic acid) so that Vanilla Fresh can now be classified as an excellent source of this omega-3 fatty acid.

But ALA isn’t just any fatty acid. It’s an essential fatty acid, meaning we need it—but our body can’t produce it—so it’s crucial to get it from our diet.

(In case you’re wondering, “excellent source” is an FDA-defined term that basically means the food contains a whole bunch of the nutrient in question.)

Second, we swapped out the oat protein with 20 grams of high-quality pea protein. Medium-absorbing and versatile, pea protein is quickly becoming a go-to plant-based protein solution.

Next, because of the FDA’s recent changes to some micronutrient Daily Values, we’ve adjusted some of the vitamin and mineral levels to maintain the percentages the way we like them.

In other words, we wanted to make sure that you’re still getting the same % Daily Values of these important nutrients when you do 3 Day Refresh.

Finally, we’ve made a few ingredient changes to create a more conscientious product and make sure that we can consistently supply a quality product.

We’ve replaced agave syrup with organic cane sugar, added sunflower oil, and maize dextrin is now non-GMO soluble corn fiber.

What’s New With Fiber Sweep?

We also decided to increase the ALA in Fiber Sweep to make it an excellent source.

This time, we did it by removing chia seed and adjusting the amount of flaxseed.

Admittedly, the adjustment to Fiber Sweep isn’t as sweeping (see what we did there?) as the changes to Vanilla Fresh, but they’re still exciting, given this reformulation has the added benefit of helping to reduce hunger between meals.*

Of course, we can discuss these changes all day, but the best way to understand how they benefit you is to try 3 Day Refresh for yourself.
